Tech Talent Strategy — Digital Nomad (Visitor)

Canada has no dedicated digital-nomad visa. Under the Tech Talent Strategy (June 2023), a foreign national working remotely for an employer based outside Canada may enter as a visitor (visitor visa or eTA) and stay up to 6 months per entry — no Canadian work permit required because the work has no Canadian labour-market footprint. IRCC publishes no minimum income or savings; standard visitor admissibility applies. If the nomad receives a Canadian job offer, transition to a regular work permit is encouraged.
