Permanent Residency

Under Art. 22 Law 25.871, residencia permanente is granted after 2 years of temporary residency for Mercosur nationals or 3 years for non-Mercosur, in any qualifying category (rentista, pensionado, inversionista, trabajador migrante, Mercosur, family ties, refugee). Applicant must have been physically present ≥ 50% of granted temporary periods, no 6+ consecutive months absent. Sufficient means of subsistence required. Indefinite validity.
